Today i had an odd and painful experience. I had an accident with my desk. The wall attachment of my Desk broke out of the wall and the desk crashed down on my knee. You have to know: I have a chest under my desk on the left side. When i relax i have my legs or at least one of my legs there. So it didn´t fall very far, 10 inches or so. Things shaked a little bit, but everything was still in place (although the impact was pretty painful). While holding everything up with my knee, i tried to reattach the wall attachment ( a simple piece of wood) to the wall again by stomping it in with my foot. Didn´t work out of course. Nobody was at home except for my grandmother who couldn´t have helped me anyways. My Real Life friends which i could have asked to call at the neighbors house also were all afk and my phone.. I actually don´t know where it is, but definitely not on my desk lol. I was stuck.

I would have risked it to just let it fall down slowly, because i don´t think the impact would have destroyed all my tech stuff on the desk that i couldn´t reach, but unfortunately, i have a lava lamp standing there. I know, lava lamps where cool in the Seventies and i haven´t turned it on in ages, but it stands there. Why in hell do i have a lava lamp? Ahh. Really, i couldn´t let the desk fall down because i couldn´t reach the powerstrip or the lava lamp which were standing next to each other. The Lava Lamp actually isn´t even working anymore and half of the parts are gone, because i decided that i could use them for something else, but the lamp with the bottle full of water and the wax in it still stands on my desk. Without any use. It was a scary thought to get shocked trough the water or too destroy some of my stuff that was plugged into the powerstrip, so i decided just to wait in this position until help comes. I twittered my situation and also wrote it in the shoutboxes of the forums where i´m active. When i was stuck for half an hour, i realised that i will laugh at this situation i got myself in later. And that i might want to blog about it. So i decided to take pictures of it. They actually do not look very funny, but that´s OK. Just wanted to give you an insight on what it looked like. After some Pics the batteries of my Canon Eos 20D went out and the sony was already sucked empty before that, but fortunately, the i found the power cable for the Sony somewhere on my desk and it was plugged it. I tried to move the powerstrip away from the lava lamp by pulling it, but that didn´t work. But hey, at least i could take pictures again. I wasn´t very mobile in my Camera Positions, so sorry, i couldn´t do any overview shots or something like that.  i have absolutely no idea how long i was stuck, but at least for an hour, i think more like 2.

Help eventually came when my Parents arrived at home. The desk, which i built by myself a long time ago btw, is now secured with a cardboard-box full of magazines and Cd’s that stands on the chest. I will fix the attachment… tomorrow or so. I´ll also try to make a panorama pic of my desk with cool 360, but my first try totally failed lol. But here are tonight’s pictures:
