It´s the truth, isn´t it?
It´s unbelievable how stupid people can be. I read the daily reports on the pirate bay trial in sweden and they clearly show that the entertainment industry doesn´t have any understanding of what they are fighting against. They have no understanding of how bittorrent works and what exactly could be the illegal thing about it. Don´t get me wrong, i don´t want to encourage anyone to download anything illegaly or to join the pirate bay website/tracker/whatever you join when you sign up there, but one would think that the industry actually knows how things work before they sue someone. One guy was bringing in screenshots of how he downloads files with bittorrent as evidence… this whole lawsuit is just so wrong.

The lawsuit sure is wrong. The important point about bringing in this kind of “evidence”, though, is who you’re trying to convince you’re right. An elderly judge or — heaven forbid! — a jury might well fall for this kind of logic. Like: “That guy showed me that you can download stuff with that, now that MUST be illegal!”. Don’t underestimate your adversaries.
