72.2 percent of my users use Firefox 3 (you guys are rolemodels) while 8.1 percent use IE7. I personally dislike any version of the internet explorer but i respect that there are people who think differently, so i´m not gonna link it.. (in other news, i heard about 9 percent of the world´s population are perverts, may be there´s a connection between those numbers…jk)…4 percent use Safari, 2.2 percent use Google Chrome while only 0.2 percent use Opera. That´s it.

Wait a minute. 72.2+8.1+4.0+2.2+0.2 doesn´t make nearly 100… it´s just 86.7… What´s up with the rest?? Let´s see… some people haven´t upgraded their Internet Explorer yet to Version 7. So 4.7 percent of my users still surf with IE6. That´s bad. But it gets better worst. There´s Camino (no version number given, but it´s probably not as bad as the others mentioned in the second paragraph) with 0.3 and firefox 2 with 1,3. and now check this: 1,8% still use Firefox 1 AND 5,2% STILL SURF WITH INTERNET EXPLORER 5!!! BURN IN HELL IE5 and your users should also burn in hell upgrade. Don´t take the Security of your Computer for granted, just because you don´t visit porn sites.

I´d actually love to compare those numbers with those from our websites at work, but the system is different and the numbers and browser versions are also listed very differently, so i don´t even know it it´s possible. But for us at work, there´s clearly still a need to design for older browsers, which is annoying given that you always try to stay up to date with the newest techniques. i just wish people would realize that they are not only having security issues but also make the life of us webdesigners a lot harder. Plus if they come to a site like this one here, they are not able to watch it in a enjoyable way or at least not in the way it´s supposed to look like… it´s like watching a movie while being shorteyed and wearing scattered glasses. You can listen to the dialogues and follow the story, but you won´t be able to enjoy the total package. I know, developers can´t keep people from surfing with older browsers, but they could include a BIG FAT RED DISTURBING TEXT in the interface saying that this browser isn´t developed anymore and that it´s time for a CHANGE… or they will send them Abdullah the Butcher to their house. Take care, byebye.

PS: I just realised that people in some  browsers can´t even see that i crossed out some parts… click picture if you´re one of those
